DaisyWorld / Món de Margarides
Barcelona, 2011
This work is a reflection on the repercussions of any decision, on the uncertainty and discomfort generated by numerous political strategies. The project revolves around the moving of several collections from the Museu de Ciències Naturals in Barcelona’s Ciutadella Park (the city’s first public museum, which opened in 1878) to the so-called Museu Blau, set inside the building designed by Herzog & de Meuron for the 2004 Universal Forum of Cultures. The work explores the way in which empty public rhetoric builds its own expectations and documents the social repercussions of decisions that were not consulted.
